Why do UFC fans insist on trolling about the superiority of the UFC product?

I love UFC. I’m a MMA mark, but I’m also a wrestling fan. I don’t understand why UFC fans need to keep bashing pro wrestling. I mean, if UFC is a truly superior product, won’t the product and the Nielsen ratings speak for themselves? Why can’t people enjoy their choice of programming without this ludicrous, juvenile mud slinging?
And the first two answers miss the point completely.

The goal wasn’t to make this a bash UFC thread. You two are just as bad as those others for taking cheap shots at UFC.
